Is this cheating?

Copying an answer is. Learning the method is not. Untangle will not hand you a finished essay, and it makes you redo the step you skipped.

What if it gets it wrong?

It shows its working, so a wrong step is visible instead of hidden. Flag it and you get a second route to the same answer.

Will I get charged without noticing?

The free plan needs no card, ever. Plus tells you the day before it renews, so nothing lands as a surprise. Cancelling takes two taps.
